We acquired our first Doberman 22 years ago. Our intent was to have a watchdog. My husband was leery as to my breed choice.
He was under the assumption, as many are, that Dobermans were a bad, vicious, intimidating breed. Anyone that has ever had
that assumption looses the belief after his or her first true encounter with a well-bred Doberman. The Doberman is the biggest
baby on earth. After our initial adoption, we felt that our female might be lonely, so we got her a mate. The rest is history.
Once you own a Doberman, you will own one for the rest of your life.

The Shady Meadows property is a beautiful 23 acres with plenty of trees for shading and lounging. We also sport a nice pond
for our occupants to enjoy in warm weather. Five acres of our property is fenced for their safety and ours. The remaining 18
acres is used for roaming and hiking with a human companion.

We have a 32' by 52' indoor & outdoor run building for our Minpins & Dobermans. There are 14 spaces in this building.
Each with a 6' x 8' indoor space and an 8' x 20' outdoor run to each space. This building is used for the breeding of our
Miniature Pinschers and Dobermans.

We believe in raising a well-bred Doberman. We thoroughly check out the pedigrees of each pup/adult when we
purchase a new one for our family. All our dogs are AKC registered. There are many new clubs/open registries that many
breeders are using. That is because their dogs cannot be registered with the AKC. AKC has strict standards. All males must
be DNA tested. There are several reasons why these breeders cannot obtain AKC registration, and no reason that I have
found is a good one. The realistic scenario that it is becoming more and more likely is that you may be dealing with a puppy
mill breeder.

We DO NOT sell to puppy mill breeders or pet stores. My puppies go to good loving homes not little cages

The adoption process is completed ON SITE ONLY, and we will not ship puppies. It is important to us that prospective owners become familiar with the litter, interact with the pups, and make their choice based on personality match. This also gives prospective owners the opportunity to meet the sire and dam of the litter.

If at anytime you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
